We will study the contracts you receive; explain them all in English. We become the link between you and the notaire or the estate agent and pass on the modifications required. This during all the period from the sale’s agreement to the final signature, we assist you from the signature of intent to buy and make a verbal translation of all the contracts.
This is a particularly difficult process that has many laws, in and around the purchase your new home and if not assisted could cost you a lot of money. It is important for you to understand the legal requirements and repercussions of buying a property here in France; what is on the deed, what you can and can't do, is the land listed with National Heritage or in a non construction zone, can you keep livestock on the land and so on.
We contact various departments like the Town Halls, the land registry in order to verify the local and national laws on the property at hand that you are buying and of course, the various surveys are explained and we advise on the importance of points noted on each part of the survey.
This work is carried out by one of the bilingual team that is qualified as a Notary though they are not working as a notary but as an independent assistant dedicated to you.
This is a fixed one off fee covering a 12 month period that is paid up front, it includes a lot of different services and verbal translations. This follows you through each house you are interested in buying that you sign for; in case there is a problem with the purchase of one particular house, we simply move onto the next.
Please note though that additional charges may be incurred for travelling expenses to get to and from meetings, please ask us about this.
